Merry Christmas! So wonderful for us to worship Jesus on the Lord’s Day. God’s gift to us and our gift to God is to present our bodies as a living sacrifice of love. We have looked at the 4 aspects of Jesus as prophesied by Isaiah. But this part is the crucial part. That is what we celebrate today!
Here is the test for our time together: for unto us a child is born, and a son is given.
All this is for us: God’s amazing love for each of us.
A child is born.
Mary asks the the question: how can this be? That is a great question. Not by might, not by power, but by my Spirit says the Lord! How do we receive Jesus? Get born again?

What does he give through Jesus? Jesus quotes Isaiah 61:1,2 in Luke 4:18,19:
The end of our verse is this: “There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace on the throne of David and over his kingdom…” Isaiah9:7
The gift is great but requires our sacrifice to get it. Is it hard? Yes, but it is also easy. Take up your cross and follow me, and my yoke is easy, my burden is light.
The response on our part is amazing joy!
